Prior to an inter-company relocation, I had
the opportunity to spend three years working with Loading Master from
both a transportation as well as a warehousing perspective that involved
a one million sq. ft. start-up operation servicing over four thousand
customers weekly in a thirteen-state territory.

For our tire business, Loading Master
provided a full range of loading and specialty services for our location
from 2003-2006. This included hand loading and unloading
a wide variety of light truck, passenger, and commercial truck tires,
as well as forklift operation for heavier truck tires. Loading
Master also fulfilled all special handling requests as required by original
equipment and replacement customers such as product sequencing, lacing,
bundled loading, catalog loading, and product verification.
I believe the competitive advantage that Loading Master provides is
the ability to customize their operation to the unique requirements
of shippers and customers. Commonly, Loading Master would
send representatives to carrier dock facilities or customer locations
to gain a greater understanding of how products are handled and what
they can do to improve loading and unloading efficiencies. From
my experience, the management team at Loading Master always seemed willing
to find solutions and alternatives to challenges we face in meeting
customer expectations.

I have known Wade Smith for approximately ten
years. I went to work for Bridgestone/ Firestone as a distribution manager
in March of 1998 in Frazier, Pennsylvania where I met Wade who was the
President of the loading service we used. I learned very quickly that
Wade was a true member of our team and willing to step in and help in
anyway he could. When we moved from Frazier to our new facility in Allentown,
Wade was with us in every step of the move. His hands on supervision
of the lumpers and truck movements insured that the move was successful.
Wade even took responsibility for managing the shut down of the old
facility at no additional fee. I can not begin to tell you how big an
asset he was.
Approximately four years later when I was moved to
Lebanon, TN, there was no doubt in my mind what service I was going
to use. We consolidated three warehouses from various regions and only
had a handful of employees with any experience. Wade insured that every
one of his people was fully trained on the very first day of startup.
We had the most seamless startup of a new facility ever with customer
service commenting on having so few issues with customers during the
transition. Wade’s team was critical in the beginning in catching
errors by an inexperienced work force. Wade and his team have always
done an outstanding job.
I will never be able to say enough about Wade’s
work ethic, honesty, integrity and commitment to anything he is involved
with. In my case it was like having an additional manager on staff.
Wade went with me on many customer visits to insure they were getting
the tires and documentation exactly the way they wanted them delivered.
His commitment to customer service is far beyond any vendor I have used
before or since.
